As much as I love “used” to love smelling like I just toured the Snuggles Factory, I started not loving smelling so strong like them that friends would even say “oh, you use Snuggles”. 🤭My friend told me about the laundry balls she used and I thought she was crazy. Wow! All I have to say is that these dryer balls are fantastic. I have used other brands for years and recently switched to these. Who’d a thunk wool balls would work in my dryer without fabric softener. They don’t say not to use fabric softener but I thought “What the heck. I can always rewash them”. So I washed a dark load of jeans and shirts with no softener and then dried them. I expected static. Nope. None. The clothes weren’t wrinkled and weren’t stiff but not as soft as with fabric softener. So I thought when we wear them we would know. Well. I’m wearing a shirt now and it’s soft enough. No softener smell but clean. Natural. Love them!

I really appreciated that I got 6 Dryer Balls. I use them 3 at a time. They’re soft and they do exactly what they’re intended use is designed to do. This product is a great replacement for traditional dryer sheets. I tried making my own dryer sheets with vinegar glycerin water and essential oils but everything smelled like vinegar all the time no matter what the dilution. This was a great solution. I’ve only used them once so far, but I must say that I am pleased with the results of these dryer balls. I also love the fact that they have a little bag to store them in. I don’t feel a difference in softness between using a dryer sheet and these balls. They work just as well! The only negative is that it does make a bit of noise while they are beating around in the dryer, but it’s not that bad. It’s worth it to not break out from using the dryer sheets.

We have been having a huge lint problem with the new GE washer and dryer we purchased last fall. Clothes, dish towels, sheets, etc. come out of the dryer with so much dog and people hair on them! We do have a golden retriever that sheds a lot, but we’ve had goldens for 34 years, so this source of hair is not new. Something changed drastically with this new GE set, and I’m still not sure what. Whenever I would wash my hands and dry them on a dish towel, hair would wrap around my fingers. When I wiped the kitchen counters, I’d leave fuzz or dog hairs behind. Ugh.After some research, I learned about dryer balls and thought they were worth a try. I didn’t know what to expect, but they really work! They do make clothes softer. They do eliminate static electricity. They do eliminate a ton of hair on our clothing and linens. The clothes do dry faster. I love not having to use liquid fabric softener that are loaded with chemicals or dryer sheets that never break down in landfills. I love having a natural solution to all this hair.The only thing that wasn’t so great is using the wool balls with polar fleece. Our fleece jackets come out of the dryer with short white hairs on them. But that’s just a basic Laundry 101 rule: Don’t mix lint givers with lint takers! I will just not use the dryer balls with polar fleece. They seem to be great with everything else, even knits, and I’m really happy I discovered them.

These are my first experience with dryer balls so my only comparison is dryer sheets. I’ve used free and clear dryer sheets for years, though my husband enjoys the nice smell of the other kind (sorry, honey!). I’ve noticed a huge difference in how the lint I pull out of the lint trap feels. I can only describe it by saying it doesn’t have a weird film on it now. I never thought about it, but it certainly has me thinking now! I’d say all else compared, softness is same if not better, as is for drying time. Wrinkles are my fault! 😳😬

In time, the balls do shrink in size, but that is only after loads and loads and loads of drying. To reduce static electricity, I throw in a couple of ‘aluminum balls’ which is nothing more than aluminum foil rolled into a ball.

So I was extremely sceptical about wool balls being able to get the lint off my black uniform for work. They work better than dryer sheets without the chemicals. These little wool balls are amazing! I have 4 dogs and 2 cat. I wear a uniform that is mostly black to work. I was using tide dryer sheets, but I hate having those chemicals on my clothes and the scent was too perfumy. These did a much better job with the lint and the pet hair, even on my black cotton under shirts. They got off about 95% of the lint while tide dryer sheets only got off about 75%. It was a noticeable difference.

These balls work great. I used to use the little plastic balls, but I always has to use dryer sheets with them because they never got the static out. These wool balls are awesome and I don’t have to use dryer sheets anymore. I used these wool balls for the first time yesterday. Our clothes seem just as soft if not more than using fabric softeners or dryer sheets. So far I like them but towels will be the real test. My sheets came out lovely. I’ve very surprised as I had my doubts.

This wooly little tennis ball lookalikes do make drying faster, are scentless unless you purchase the scented oils, and clothes come out soft. I didn’t put 5 stars, because if you leave clothes in too long they will wrinkle some, just as with dryer sheets. My personal opinion is that it’s better to remove clothes when they are slightly damp and hang.

Not sure if I will keep product or not. The cloth bag smells like it’s been treated to protect against bugs, and the balls have a slight scent that is similar. I originally bought them with the intent of being able to use essential oils. I really wanted this to be a great product and it comes pretty close. For towels and other cottons, it does a great job. They are soft and wrinkle free. I don’t notice a scent. They work well on cotton clothes like jeans and work shirts. However, I did a load of dark clothes that included knit yoga pants and tee shirts. They were covered in white lint. I had to use a sticky roller to get the lint off. I will continue to use them for cottons but I don’t think I want to get out the lint roller every time I dry knits.

I don’t notice any additional static.Owning a cat comes with it’s drawbacks. I used to have to lint roll my clothes before and after doing laundry. With these dryer balls I don’t see any cat hair on my clothes after removing them from the dryer!I personally wouldn’t put essential oils on these because I think they might stain the balls and the clothes. Also noticed all my clothes were dry as sometimes shorts/pajamas with elastic tend to be a bit damp around the elastic area. I got these dryer balls and I had read that you could use essential oils on them to make your laundry smell good. Do I used some that I bought in Bali then dried them in the dryer alone. I then put my linen shirts in the drier and they softened them right up! Now that being said they were already dry just waiting for the ironing but the drier balls softened the fabric n took our many of the wrinkles. I still will iron those blouses because I just have to tie me but I could see someone wearing these shirts without ironing them. I just used them for a load of lightweight items and then a load of heavy weight items. In both, the clothes dried quickly and came out soft. When I only had two items left in the dryer, they usually press together and come out wrinkled. Not this time! And the balls do lift the clothes so they dry quicker. A good buy!

I was really excited to get these. I wear a lot of linen and no matter what you do, it comes out of the dryer wrinkled! These are great for keeping the wrinkles away. I hung my shirts up as soon as the dryer stopped, just smoothed them out with my hands and that was all they needed. I found that they weren’t soft at all. Maybe that’s why there were no wrinkles but I still like soft. Over all, I will use them with my linens and cottons and probably continue to use fabric softener with my towels

I laundered two down comforters. I used all 6 balls in the dryer and it really made the bedding softer and lessened the drying time by almost half. I tried using only 2 balls in a regular load of clothing and it did not work as well, so I used 4 balls the next time and worked much better.

I’ve only tried the wool dryer balls once so far. I used all six balls for a medium load and it took two cycles to dry. At this time I can’t say how wonderful they are, but maybe it takes time. I also ordered the essential oils for the balls, which gave my clothes a fantastic smell. I won’t go back to dryer sheets as they are not good for the environment, but I did not find these dryer balls to lessen the drying time. Good product, but does not perform as advertised.

I have no opinion of whether they speed drying time or not – too difficult to measure. As to the softness and/or lack of wrinkles with towels, sheets, t-shirts… ok, I guess. Better than without using the dryer balls for sure, but don’t know if they are as good as/better than dryer sheets. Haven’t used sheets in a long time so hard to compare. And scent? None that I can detect, so if you’re hoping for ‘fresh-smelling’ – whatever that means – I think you’ll be disappointed.I’ll continue using them because they certainly help with softness and wrinkles. But I’m not enthused.

I used 6 of the wool balls to dry a load of queen bed sheets and they came out wrinkle-free and very soft. I’ve been obsessed with fabric softener plus dryer sheets over the years but in order to reduce my carbon footprint and help protect our environment, I washed with natural ingredients (wash soda) and skipped the fabric softener in the rinse cycle and skipped the dryer sheets using only the wool balls. I was very impressed. Never going back! My sheets smelled very clean but I gave only 3 stars on the scent as there wasn’t a scent at all. Next time, I will use a drop of essential oil to add a little bit of a scent, perhaps lavender.

Honestly, I’m not sure if it cuts drying time down. However, the balls do spread the essential oils over the laundry to give them a nice pleasant scent. So if you were wasting money on dryer sheets .. this is a great deal for you. Costs are just for the balls themselves and then a bottle of your favorite essential oil(s). And, you can get a TON of nice smelling laundry done before you get through with even the smallest of bottles of essential oil. And, they’re really decent sized balls so I just put 3 in and left the other 3 in the bag they all came in so .. if/when the original 3 wear out .. I have replacements, already. Only downside on this product is that it’s wool that’s been shipped to China, where it’s assembled (rolled into balls) and then shipped to the USA to be shipped to wherever. Also, Either Amazon or Ecoigy places the cotton bag the balls come in into a plastic bag. So …. meh.

I wasn’t sure about dyer balls but am trying to be more chemical free in my home so I decided to give them a shot. These are so great that I actually threw out my dryer sheets! I wish I had moved to these sooner! They are scent free (I still haven’t added any essential oils to them). I have not found any scent as other reviewers have. My clothes do dry faster, and they are definitely less wrinkly than when I was using dryer sheets. I have no static either. They do make a bit of sound, but nothing that would keep you awake at night and certainly less than the sound of a zipper hitting the side of the dryer. I highly recommend them, and have bought another set for my son @ university

The warping doesn’t affect the effectiveness. I use 3 of the balls. They are not as loud as my previous plastic balls were. Work the same. The old plastic ones absorbed the colors of the clothes and looked grungy. BUT These do NOT.If you don’t use them, you should. I have been trying to minimize toxic chemicals in my home and these wool dryer balls are great. They are much quieter than the hard rubber balls I had been using and I do notice a reduction in drying time. I am allergic to wool, but so far have not had an issue using these in my dryer. They are scent free, although I do sometimes use essential oils giving the clothes and nice smell. I never realized before how dryer sheets used toxic chemicals, but they did clog up our vents, so I am hoping that using this alternative will not only be healthier for my family, but better for my dryer vent.

I chose these for size, all wool and company. They are working well and am very pleased. Hardly any static or wrinkles. They’re not as big as the XL balls a friend of mine gave me, but they work just as well as I have an apartment-sized dryer. Most of our hiking gear says not to use fabric softener so dryer balls have been a great option for us! I don’t use fabric softener (or dryer sheets) in anything any more. No need to. No wrinkles with dryer balls if you take your items out right away, and your clothes are super soft! Great for “fluffing” items, as well! Highly recommend!

I was shocked to see the super cute eco-friendly bag that the balls came in. It may seem like a small detail but to me my order went from, ‘yep another delivery ‘ to ‘Omg, I can hardly wait to try them. When I did utilize the 6, as the directions clearly indicated for a large load, I immediately the reduced drying time. On top of the reduced time, this was the first time in about a year, I did not need to repeat the drying. I loved how soft my clothes were as well. The only reason for a 4 star is that I miss the scent created by dryer sheets. I do not miss the scent enough though to ever go back.

These work just as described! We are actively trying to reduce our use of electricity as well as how much trash we produce and these make our clothes dry so much faster, and soften without adding the waste of the dryer sheets. I hang the bag next to the dryer and it’s convenient for keeping them together. As a recently single father that did not do laundry before, I had quite a learning curve. I got tired of dryer sheets and found forums about products like this. My weighted blanket (15 lbs) drying time got cut in half just like my work clothes. My boys clothes dry much faster and smell great with the essential oils. Do you hate pulling fitted sheets out of the dryer? It is all good with these. Towels a bit damp in the middle? Not any more with a decrease drying time.First use I let the oil; 5-6 drops on three balls, and let them sit overnight. I personally use all six balls in my dryer unless it is a small wash. Every three to four loads of laundry I refresh the wool balls with oil with the same amount of oil and let them rest a bit before using.

They definitely make your clothes soft and fresh smelling, not quite as fresh as hanging them outdoors but Close! The only drawback I found with them is when drying a quilt either summer or winter weight, the item still wants to roll up in a ball so you have to unroll it every 10 minutes or so and rearrange it in the dryer and keep doing this until the quilt is dry all the way through but that is the only drawback. I would have to do the same thing without using the balls so it’s no big deal. Would refer to friends and buy again

Everything else is cool, and I really like that the wool balls would help my laundry dry faster, but they didn’t help with static. My laundry was just made of regular clothes and towels. It came out with a lot of static. I had to start using dryer sheet with the wool balls to remove static.

My impression is that they really don’t do much for wrinkles.I recently obtained organic essential lavender oil, and put it on the balls. The scent was subtle and enjoyable. It didn’t last long, but that’s OK because I wash with All Free & Clear, and use various combinations of hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and baking soda in my laundry. I.e., I want my clothes free and clear.P.S. I bought a second bag when they went on sale because I’m thinking of giving them as a gift.

I stumbled upon an article about using Wool Dryer Balls as a substitute for dryer sheets, so I went on Amazon and found these. Today was the first day trying out the Wool Dryer Balls. Only problem, they do tend to get into your clothes so laundry as you remove it from the dryer or you may find a stowaway when you bring them to fold the laundry and let’s just say Kitty LOVES the new toy 😉 Anyway, nicer product that doesn’t ‘shed’ on your laundry. It does a great job at cutting down the time it takes to dry the laundry, and less wrinkles with out using questionable chemicals. Great product.

The concept is solid and I do feel it’s environmentally friendly. Except, you sent the cloth bag of balls in a plastic bag. No need for plastic. Do away with the plastic. You have it in a cloth bag already. And second. I was disappointed this product is assembled in China. Can we as Americans not make wool dryer balls? Let me just start by saying… HOLY CRAP! These things really do cut dry time in half. It’s insane. The dryer in my current condo is a bit old. But even the thickest of towels and blankets take a half hour tops to dry. I recently decided to start switching to eco friendly, zero waste, products and instantly loved the idea of wool dryer balls. I wish I would have found these sooner! There’s no scent to them which isn’t the end of the world. But I have heard of people putting essential oils on theirs. I haven’t tried that nor am I sure I will. But these are absolutely a must try product!

Product does a great job of making clothes dry quicker on a lower setting. Clothes are always soft, but not all wrinkles come out. There is no scent left by this product so I did not rate the scent. The biggest negative is this product does nothing to reduce the static cling. Still a great product as it does a better job reducing drying time!

We had another brand of wool balls that lasted for about a year. I just left them in the dryer and do about 5 loads of laundry a week. It’s been so nice to not use dryer sheets because they dry out my skin and my kids skin. I noticed with our other wool balls that our clothes still had some static. Now that we have a water softener too I don’t notice any static. I chose this brand because they are made of new zealand wool and are handmade. It’s a great product! So I never knew these existed.First, they’re woven wool. It’s not fluffy balls. But they’re hard, tennis ball sized, woven wool balls. 6 of them. They bounce around A LOT. Originally thought that may not be the best for the clothes but let me tell you my mothers shock.We use the dryer sheets for the smell, and I got irked that they’re so bad for the environment, and we get the detergent and fabric softener scent from the wash anyway. So I impulsively bought these. They’re a godsend. My clothes don’t produce as much lint anymore, not sure what the reasoning behind this is?They DO dry faster. I thought maybe that was just a myth but I’ll Toss in these balls in between the load of laundry so they’re hidden under the clothes, and the bouncing around really aerates the clothes to dry them faster.Less wrinkles. My moms now doing blouse and dress shirts with these balls only. We have a few of the dryer sheets lefts and want to use them up and not just throw them out, but she now uses only these balls for my dads dress shirts and our blouses. The difference isn’t noticeable until you iron them a little and can definitely tell from how long it’s taking you to iron out clothes.

I’m loving my new dryer balls. I had to replace a set that was used (4 years old) and some were lost…well, 2 became dog toys when they were snatched from the dryer as I was folding clothes. Anyway, my previous set was one that had over 16,000 Amazon reviews, they were also more expensive than these (pic shows a new ball next to an old one – very similar except one is obviously used). I’ve seen ads for these on my social media and the price and reviews were enough to give them a try. 6 wool balls in a bag that function very well – what more can you ask for? The bag is reusable for ball storage (or whatever) which might be appealing for some people. The other balls I had didn’t have that option. I keep mine in the dryer between uses. So, bang for the buck and performance wise, these are an option I highly recommend. As long as this company maintains, I will buy again when these have served their time. As far as wool dryer balls go, generally speaking, I think they work fantastic. As long as you don’t over dry your clothes, these balls help prevent static, help clothes dry better (more evenly) and a bit faster. All brands seem to be scent and dye free and won’t leave residue on your machine or clothes like fabric softeners do. You can put a few drops of essential oils on the balls if you prefer a scent which is great because you control how much fragrance you want. I highly recommend wool balls and I will recommend this brand because I’m frugal and there’s no need to spend more money.

Absolutely love these. Great alone, but better with few drops of essential oil – I use lavender- reapplied every 3 or 4 loads. Towels come out amazingly soft. More absorbant now as I no longer use liquid softener or dryer sheets. I’ve found two or three balls work per load. Make sure family knows how many balls you use as my husband took a blanket out and left one ball stuck in the blanket. One of the dogs found it…it really is made with a LOT of wool. I use a natural detergent- Nellie’s- along with these wool balls. Laundry is so much cleaner, softer, and no residue feeling on our clothes iron linens. Bonus is the dry time gas been cut almost in half. Clothes are thoroughly dry on the first cycle.

They banged around in the dryer, waking up my baby every time I used the dryer. Once I read about the health concerns associated with the chemicals used on dryer sheets, I was DONE with dryer sheets. These wool dryer balls are easy to use and my clothes are wrinkle-free and soft. The clothes do have a small amount of static however. The static seems to only stay with the clothes as I pull them out of the dryer and by the time I am folding them it is gone. Overall, a small price to pay for eliminating toxic dryer sheets from my home.

People say you can’t wash down pillows and dry them in the dryer but I’ve had some very thick down pillows that are wonderful and I washed them and put these balls in so they come out very fluffy and it’s the same with my thick down comforter. Why did I wait so long to get wool dryer balls? These are really great! They dry the clothes quickly, clothes are wrinkle-free (if you pull them out in time), and smell great. Make sure you like any oil that you put on the dryer ball though. If you make an error in scent judgement, you are stuck with it until it wears off. These balls also create a great game when pulling out the clothes from the dryer – I call it ‘Find the Dryer Balls.’!

This dryer balls are a great alternative. There is no fuzzies on my clothes. They have also help eliminate pet hair. There is no scent to these dryer balls. Dry time is decreased by at least 10 minutes. They may seem expensive up front. However, I would spend at least $10 a month on liquid softener. These dryer balls will last around 1000 loads which is about a year in my houshold. You do the math.

My clothes do not have static cling and are very soft. Havent used softener or dryer sheets for over a year.

I was VERY skeptical about wool balls. But they really work and really do shorten the dryer time.I add essential oils before tossing into the dryer with our clothes and it works great.

Love the wool dryer balls!!! I was hoping for a little less static than I’ve been left with recently but my clothes are drying faster and come out soft and wrinkle free!

I use dryer balls instead of fabric softener sheets in my dryer. They fluff up towels and clothes better than the greasy dryer sheets (better for the environment too). Have been using dryer balls for years and love the way they work out. Was a little disappointed that they were no longer “balls” after just a couple loads. They seem to have mostly become lumpy bumpy pear shaped balls They may work just as well but none of the others I’ve bought have ever done this. If it wasn’t for this fact I’d have given them 5 stars.
